She spent 20 years in business, with an emphasis on information technology and software engineering. She received her doctorate in ministry and master's degree in divinity, both with honors, from Andover Newton Theological School, and a master's degree in manufacturing engineering and master's degree in science from WPI. She received her bachelor's degree in business from Indiana University. CAROL JACOBSON is now director of communications and events at Reliant Foundation, an independent public charity in Worcester. Since 2018, Jacobson has worked at the Greater Gardner Chamber of Commerce as executive director. She previously worked at Reliant Foundation between 2017 and 2018. GINNY CROSSE is now a family nurse practitioner at UMass Memorial Health – Harrington. Crosse, who has more than 10 years of experience in the practice, previously worked as a nurse care manager at UMass Memorial – Harrington Hospital and Fallon Health's NaviCare, and as a registered nurse at UMass Memorial Medical Center. ALEKSANDRA ALWASH has joined UMass Memorial Health – Harrington as a family nurse practitioner. She served as a registered nurse case manager at JHC HomeCare by Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester and is f luent in both English and Polish. DAVID POTTLE has been appointed assistant vault manager at Discern'd Cannabis Purveyors in Grafton, scheduled to open in the summer of 2022. Previously, Pottle held positions such as f loor captain, shift lead, and inventory lead at other dispensaries, where he managed inventory, stocked product, tracked product intake and movement, oversaw employees, and reconciled deposits and inventory discrepancies. At Discern'd, Pottle will ensure compliance with all inventory- related procedures and regulations. He holds a bachelor's degree from Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire. Worcester human services nonprofit Ascentria Care Alliance has announced four new members to its board of directors. MARYBETH CAMPBELL is the executive director of the Worcester Community Action Council. She has more than 20 years of experience in public policy, public education, and project management in the areas of clean energy, education, and economic and workforce development. She holds a bachelor's degree from Providence College and attended Suffolk University Law School. CHARRAN FISHER is founder and CEO of Worcester-based Fisher Contracting Corp.. She started her company in 1998 after working part- time in a field with different trades where she saw a need for women and minorities in construction. She was named Minority Business Person of the Year for the entire New England region by the U.S. Small Business Administration in 2011. She holds a bachelor's degree in English and journalism with a minor in African American studies at UMass Amherst. Dr. BRIAN GIBBS is the inaugural vice president and chief equity, diversity, and inclusion officer at UMass Memorial Health in Worcester. He will establish educational training programs and systems for monitoring culture change, leading to improved, more equitable delivery of health for all patients, especially those in historically disadvantaged communities. Gibbs' career spans the fields of academic medicine and health professions, including public health and occupational therapy. He received his Ph.D. from Brandeis University, where he was a Pew Health Policy Fellow. DEBORA JACKSON is professor of practice and dean of the business school at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
