Robyn Hanson had no business
background when she started Acadia
Outdoor Center, an outdoor clothing
and equipment shop in the village of
Seal Harbor.
"I was a teacher most of my life and
always had a dream to start a business
like this," Hanson says.
Last year she made the leap, opening
a seasonal shop in a former garage and
convenience store where she used to buy
penny candy as a little girl.
