ORTENDAHL Executive Director, Corporate Relations WPI University Advancement For achieving beyond his years. Great achievements are still to come. wpi.edu Congratulations Landry is a serial entrepreneur. In his mere 34 years on the planet, he has launched an artificial intelligence company, an art com- pany, a children's clothing and accessory company, and a property management company. But despite being a jack of all trades, Landry's bread and butter is food science. He has three degrees in the discipline – a bachelor's, master's, and a doctorate – and started teaching a course in food science at Boston University while studying for his doctorate at UMass Amherst, where he completed five additional first-author publications and one patent and taught the science of what you eat to undergraduates. In 2016, Landry joined Liberty Biose- curity in Virginia as a scientist, where he quickly rose up the ranks and became chief scientist. Last year, he was named the company's president and made the decision to bifurcate into two companies: Liberty and Delavie Sciences. Delavie is a consumer care products company, and its first item is expected to hit the market this year. Another company of his, artwork company Variable Editions, works with established artists to bring their work to the masses. - Profile written by Laura Finaldi What movie best encapsulates your personality? Wherever you may end up, take the time to build community around you. Show up, listen, and learn. Community is medicine, and we need one another to uplift voices and visions to create a better equitable society for everyone. Look around to see who is missing from the table, and when the time is right, break that table so those who've been missing from our decision-making processes can create their own.
