FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES POST-PANDEMIC: At the height of the pandemic, (Summer 2020) we provided individuals and families with outdoor recreational opportunities that allowed for social distancing while unplugging from technology on Lake Quinsigamond. Regatta Point weathered the pandemic with the help of an EIDL Loan and two PPP Loans. During this time, we developed a sustainable operations pricing model that is supplemented by grants and fundraising to support our youth scholarship programs and capital improvement initiatives. Post-pandemic, the organization is currently developing a strategic plan to guide our organization over the next 5 years and beyond. "I grew up in Newport, Rhode Island, the sailing capital of New England during the 1970s. During that time, there was no place for someone who wasn't wealthy to learn to sail. It wasn't until 2009 that I found Regatta Point and realized my dream of sailing. Since then, I have been a staunch supporter of Regatta Point so kids have the opportunity I didn't have. I was drawn to Regatta Point's efforts to fundraise and seek grants as a way to provide program scholarships so that no child is ever turned away from the benefits of boating." - Robert Levada, Jr. Regatta Point does not apply an administrative fee for any gifts. #GivingTuesday - November 29th, is part of the Regatta Point's generosity movement to unleash Boating for All! so that people can transform their lives through building confidence on the water.
