We will focus on the top community health needs, including addressing substance use disorder, increasing access to mental health and behavioral health programs for children and youth, and reducing stigma around these issues. Our Foundation will serve as a community connector around these topics, participating on committees and hosting speakers and educational events when possible. 2. We will be a leader and resource in health-focused fundraising and grant-making, delivering a meaningful grants program for the benefit of non-profit community organizations and the people they serve. In 2022, we will grant more than $850,000, which will exceed a total of $5.9 million granted since 2008. 3. The Foundation will connect the generosity of its donors to sustainable efforts that target significant public health issues and encourage healthy living for all. 4. Our Foundation staff and trustees will make personal or virtual visits to public charities in our service area to identify and better understand the service gaps and challenges in the regions we serve. 5. GIVING OPPORTUNITIES FUNDRAISING EVENTS/OPPORTUNITIES VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES "It gives me much joy to be a part of the Reliant Foundation team and I am honored to be Chair of the Board of Trustees. I am a pediatrician with a subspecialty in Adolescent Medicine. The 2-pronged mission of the foundation - mental health and substance use disorder - resonates with me. Reliant Foundation funds a wide range of programs that address these problems in Central Massachusetts. We cannot treat mental illness or addiction as a stigma. We must roll up our sleeves and help individuals and families who are facing these crises every day. We do that by funding local non-profit agencies in the field. I love to visit our grantees and see firsthand their wonderful work." - Marianne Felice, MD
