Horgan currently serves as the CBA's 99th president. He is a trial lawyer with Horgan Law Offices in New London. Margaret I. Castinado, senior assistant public defender at the Office of the Public Defender in New Haven, is serving as president-elect. James T. Shearin, chairman of Pullman & Comley LLC, is serving as vice president. Sharad A. Samy, general counsel of the Commonfund for Nonprofit Organization, is serving as treasurer. J. Paul Vance Jr., partner at Logan Vance Sullivan & Kores LLP, is serving as secretary. Joshua J. Devine, investigations lead counsel and associate general counsel at UnitedHealthcare in Hartford, is serving as assistant secretary-treasurer. Simsbury architecture and interior design firm Phase Zero Design has named Ron Goodin a partner and shareholder. Goodin joined the firm in 2019 as a healthcare principal. He has led some of Phase Zero Design's most impactful projects to date, such as Bristol Hospital's emergency department addition and renovation, the company said. Hartford-based Connecticut Health Foundation has named physician and public health leader Mehul Dalal to its board of directors. Dalal serves as New Haven's community services administrator, overseeing the city's health and human services departments. He previously served as the chronic disease director at the Connecticut Department of Public Health. Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Gang Camp has selected James Takami to serve as the organi- zation's new chief financial officer. Takami will start his new position Aug. 17. Takami is replacing longtime CFO and camp volunteer Kevin Magee, who is retiring. Takami has more than 25 years of experience in financial manage- ment. He recently led the finance and accounting team of Servpro/ Supreme Restoration, a multi-unit franchisee with locations in New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut. The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving announced that two public figures have joined its board of directors: Beatriz Gutierrez and Sivan Hines. Gutierrez is pres- ident and CEO of CONNSTEP. Hines is the senior director of college partnerships and scholar success at Hartford Promise. Before joining Hartford-based busi- ness consulting firm CONNSTEP, Gutierrez was executive director of business development for the state Department of Economic and Community Development. Hines, who recently moved to West Hartford, is the first senior director of college partnerships and scholar success at Hartford Promise, a college scholarship program for students in the city. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford has elected four new members to its board of trustees: Mary Coursey, Anne Hildreth, Chris McDavid and Patrick Phalon. Coursey is co-owner of Coursey & Company, a public affairs company. Hildreth is a managing director and market leader for Bank of America Private Bank. McDavid is vice president and general counsel for Raytheon Intelligence & Space, a business of Raytheon Technologies. Phalon is a digital marketing, design and strategy consultant. Walker Crane & Rigging Corp. of Connecticut, a crane, rigging and transportation company, has named Joseph Colla execu- tive vice president. Colla has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry, including project management, fleet operations and customer relations. He will be spearheading Walker's future growth.
