X V I 26 Fact Book / Doing Business in Maine Q UA L I T Y O F L I F E outh Portland-based photographer Tim Greenway has been the prin- cipal photographer for Mainebiz for 18 years. The Minnesota native has been a staff photographer for daily newspapers in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Maine, and has been a professional photog- rapher for 25 years. In recent years, he's brought an artistic eye to his work, and has had numerous exhibits of his photography including in the Portland City Hall rotunda and Cove Street Arts. When not creating photographs, Tim teaches a digital photography course at the University of New England as an adjunct professor since 2016. The images here offer his perspective on the Portland area, where he has lived for 19 years. His interests range from golf to his favorite stops for visitors, including the Portland Observatory and the Lobster Shack at Two Lights. 'Why I love it here' P h o t o s a n d c a p t i o n s b y T i m G r e e n w a y S I regularly go check out Portland's First Friday Art Walk, which is a great way to see and buy local art. Viewing the variety of art set up along the sidewalk and in the galleries inspires me to create and exhibit my own fine art photography. The art walk is also a great opportunity to watch art being created like painter Davin Thorndell from Harrison during this June's art walk 1-year-old James Johnston Jr. from Westbrook tries a hamburger from the Lobster Shack at Two Lights in Cape Elizabeth last month when their friends the Moriartys came to visit from Connecticut. Like the Johnstons, I also bring visitors to the Lobster Shack for seafood at one of the best outdoor dining rooms in Maine. A great spot to view the crashing waves along the ragged coast and watch the boats bring in their catch.
