Since Stephen MacMillan assumed leadership of Hologic in 2013, the medical device manufacturer has reached $3.8 billion in annual revenue and 7,129 employees worldwide, including 983 in Central Massachusetts. In February, Cognex Corp. reported $244 million for fourth quarter revenue and $1.04 billion in annual revenue for 2021, the first time the company crossed the $1-billion milestone for a year. The Hanover Insurance Group, Inc. in Worcester was one of six local firms named America's Most Responsible Companies by the magazine Newsweek in January.
