According to the Stamford- based bank, the appointment represents an expansion of its commercial and industrial middle market banking. Ferretti reports to Douglas Scala, regional president, New England. Ferretti is responsible for providing commercial banking services to middle market clients and prospects throughout greater New Haven County. He previously worked at People's United Bank in New Haven. Jewish Family Service names new CEO Alissa Wurtzel is the new CEO of Jewish Family Service of Greater New Haven, which provides a range of social services to the community. Wurtzel is a licensed clinical social worker who has worked with clients as young as 4 and as old as 107. Her most recent role was as clinical director at the organization. Albertus names new athletic director Albertus Magnus College has picked Michael Kobylanski to be its new director of athletics for its NCAA Division III athletics programs, which currently fields teams in 16 sports. Kobylanski, a Cheshire resident, was selected following a national search. He is due to start in his new position on July 11. Kobylanski has more than two decades of experience in athletic administration, and most recently worked as athletics director at the University of Connecticut, Avery Point, in Groton. Quantum-Si appoints Vikram Bajaj to board of directors Quantum-Si Inc., a Guilford- based life sciences company, recently appointed Vikram Bajaj, co-founder and former chief scientific officer of Verily, to its board of directors. Bajaj is a managing director at Foresite Capital, where he evaluates and pursues investments related to technology and the life sciences. Bajaj is also an associate professor at the Stanford University School of Medicine, and an affiliate scientist of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Cheshire resident to lead Gaylord philanthropy Wallingford-based Gaylord Specialty Healthcare has named Joseph McAndrew Jr. of Cheshire as its senior philanthropy officer. McAndrew will be responsible for the development and growth of a major gis program to support Gaylord's capital and strategic initiatives. McAndrew has more than 16 years of experience in campaign planning, frontline fundraising, stewardship and special events. He most recently served as associate director of development and alumni relations and principal and major gis officer at Yale Law School. Longtime banker joins Essex Savings Bank Leslie McKillip recently started working at Essex Savings Bank as vice president, commercial loan officer. McKillip, a Madison resident, has nearly three decades of commercial lending experience along the shoreline, and she has worked in New Haven, Middlesex and New London counties. McKillip's most recent role had been with Chelsea Groton Bank. During her career, she has also worked at Liberty Bank, J. P. Morgan Chase, Citizens and First Union Bank. Avangrid names new government affairs, communications leader Orange-based utility company Avangrid Inc. has appointed Kimberly Harriman as senior vice president, state government affairs and corporate communications. Harriman reports directly to company CEO Pedro Azagra. In this role, Harriman will lead internal and external communications for the company.
