Eastern Maine Development Corp. in Bangor hired Laurie Osher as community resilience specialist. Osher, a Maine State Representative repre- senting Orono, is the owner of Osher Environment System. Aquarius Property Management in Portland hired Adam Mains as maintenance director. Central Maine Community College in Auburn hired Jennifer Jefferson as dean of academic affairs. Jefferson was most recently interim vice presi- dent of academic affairs for Manchester Community College. The University of New England in Biddeford hired Gwendolyn Mahon as university provost and senior vice president for academic affairs. She will start Oct. 24. Most recently Mahon was dean of the Rutgers School of Health Professions. Partners Bank in Sanford hired Jared LeClaire as a mortgage loan officer in Portsmouth, N.H. LeClaire was previ- ously mortgage loan officer at Gold Star Lending. Northern Light Mercy Hospital in Portland hired Milaim Mustafa as an oncologist at Northern Light Mercy Cancer Care. Previously, Mustafa practiced at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. Channel 8 WMTW in Portland hired Jon Chrisos as new evening anchor and Colleen Hurley as a meteorologist. FocusMaine, a private sector-led initiative based in Portland to cata- lyze job growth and enhance the state's economy, hired Dana O'Brien as president. O'Brien was chief sustainability officer at Biotechnology Innovation Organization. MMG Insurance Co. in Presque Isle hired Kendra Coates as senior vice president, deputy CFO. Coates most recently was deputy commis- sioner/COO for the Department of Public Safety. Bar Harbor Bank & Trust hired Sarah McMahon as branch relation- ship manager in Brunswick. McMahon was previously multi- unit team leader for H&R Block. [ P R O M O T I O N S ] Maine Community Bank in Biddeford promoted Jahnna Steindl to oversee the Main Street Biddeford branch of Biddeford Savings. Steindl was previ- ously vice president, branch manager of Biddeford Savings in Westbrook. EqualityMaine, a lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender political advocacy organization in Portland, promoted Gia Drew to executive director. Drew was previously program director. Bull Moose, a Portland-based music and entertainment chain, promoted Shawn Nichols to president and CEO. Nichols was previously vice president of operations. The MEMIC Group, a workers' com- pensation insur- ance company in Portland, promoted Lily Hanstein to vice president of strat- egy. Hanstein was previously director of strategy. The Maine Society of Certified, Public Accountants announced its board of governor's officers and board members. Maine International Trade Center in Portland named Puritan Medical Products as its "Innovator of the Year" for the Guilford company's COVID-19 pandemic response efforts, with the company producing and distributing hundreds of millions of testing swabs for people in need. Brann & Isaacson, a law firm in Lewiston, announced that eight of its lawyers were named to the "2022 New England Super Lawyers" list and four were named "Rising Stars."
