The combined organization is known as Point32Health. Point32Health said it will shift its Connecticut focus to its Medicare Advantage business through its existing partnership with CarePartners of Connecticut, a joint venture between Tufts Health Plan and Hartford HealthCare. Amazon developer offers $2.5M for 157-acre building site in Waterbury/Naugatuck Pennsylvania-based Bluewater Property Group is offering Waterbury and Naugatuck $2.5 million for a 157-acre site on the municipalities' shared border, where the developer hopes to build a distribution facility for Amazon. Officials in both communities will vote on the negotiated proposal in the coming weeks, but it contains a few caveats before a deal is finalized. Bluewater will require a deal on local property taxes, must clear regulatory land-use reviews and must finish its own due diligence on site conditions before a purchase is finalized. Gov. Ned Lamont said the Amazon project had the possibility to create 1,000 jobs when Bluewater's involvement was first announced in January. South Windsor officials delay marijuana regulations after farmer expresses interest in growing Bruce Snow of Well Flowers Farm in South Windsor. South Windsor officials have pushed off adoption of marijuana regulations until later this month after a local farmer asked for changes allowing him to grow recreational and medical marijuana on his family's 150-year-old farm. "We are looking at this as another opportunity for another source of revenue to keep the farm open and pass it on to generations to come," said Bruce Snow, of Well Flowers Farm on Strong Road. Snow hopes to sell cannabis wholesale to medical and recreational dispensaries. The Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing in late April to collect feedback on a proposal to lift a year-long moratorium on retail marijuana sales and put into place a new regulatory framework. The commission plans to continue the discussion at its May 24 meeting. Trumpf proposes 52,000 sq. ft. addition to Farmington manufacturing building Trumpf in Farmington. PHOTO | WIKIMEDIA COMMONS The North American headquarters of a machine-manufacturing company based in Germany is proposing a 52,000-square-foot addition to the largest building on its campus at 1 Johnson Road in Farmington. Trumpf has applied for zoning permits to expand the 135,702 square-foot manufacturing facility on the west side of its 58.24- acre property, which is part of the Farmington Industrial Park. The heavily-wooded parcel consists of a series of buildings and intertwined parking lots. In addition to the manufacturing facility, there are two office buildings, which are 76,200 square feet and 32,032 square feet, respectively. Trumpf, which produces sheet metal fabrication machinery and industrial lasers, currently employs 479 people at the facility. The addition is expected to bring in an additional 15 employees. CT Innovations makes $1.25M investment in Colorado cannabis business relocating to state Connecticut Innovations, the state's quasi-public venture arm, has invested $1.25 million in a Colorado recreational marijuana company, a move that is being touted as the first investment made by a state entity into a cannabis business. Connecticut Innovations (CI) recently invested $1.25 million in 1906, a recreational cannabis pills company moving its headquarters to the state. 1906 specializes in fast-acting pills made up of plant-based medicines and low doses of THC and CBD. The company currently has six different variations of the supplement it sells at dispensaries in Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts and Oklahoma.
