Cording has been named senior vice president of Weiss, Hale & Zahansky Strategic Wealth Advisors (WHZ), a Pomfret- based independent investment, financial planning and wealth management firm. Cording has nearly 15 years of experience working with high-net- worth individuals in multiple areas of retirement, financial and estate planning. She joined WHZ as vice president, associate financial advisor in January 2019. Prior to that she was with People's United Advisors in Wethersfield. Travelers Cos. has named Donato Monaco its new vice president and president of Northland Transportation, one of the longest- tenured truck insurance carriers for commercial trucking companies. In this role, Monaco is responsible for the fleet and non-fleet transportation business. He will also serve as a member of the small commercial leadership team. Donato joins Travelers from The Hartford, where he served in leadership roles in several areas during his 19 years with the organization, including health services, group benefits for small businesses and reinsurance. American Eagle Financial Credit Union announced the promotion of six executive-level employees following several C-suite retirements over the last year. Data privacy and security attorney William "Bill" J. Roberts has joined law firm Day Pitney as a partner in the firm's Hartford office. Roberts has provided data privacy and security counsel to healthcare providers, insurers, and technology companies, as well as life science entities. Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Connecticut has named Mark Quinn regional vice president of sales for Anthem's commercial business in Connecticut. A healthcare industry veteran with 30-plus years of experience, he will lead sales and account management activities for individual and small and large group populations. He joins Anthem following three decades at Aetna, with a significant portion of his time dedicated to public and labor accounts. Law firm McCarter & English has appointed Hugh F. Murray III a partner in its Hartford office, as chair of the labor and employment practice group. Murray regularly advises employers in the manufacturing, transportation, education, utilities, energy, health care, retail and hospitality industries.
