Shei has served as the vice president for programs for more than five years. "e board has implemented its succession/sustainability plan with deep appreciation to Dr. Yost for her acumen in creating and fostering the foundation's grantmaking avenues and with the confidence that Dr. Shei will enthusiastically and effectively further our impactful grantmaking in partnership with area nonprofit organizations," said Judge Tim Bibaud, chairman of the board, in a press release. Yost's retirement comes aer nearly 23 years with the organization, which she founded in 2000 with $60 million in assets, according to the foundation's press release. Since then, the organization has awarded grants over $50 million for Central Massachusetts health endeavors, now with assets valued at roughly $95 million, according to its press release. e Health Foundation arose aer the sale of Central Massachusetts Health Care, Inc, a not-for-profit HMO, to a for-profit health insurance company. e foundation has six employees, according to its latest filing with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. AquaBounty's public stock offering to fund $320M fish farm AquaBounty, the Maynard-based grower of genetically-modified salmon, completed a public offering of common stock with $127.1-million in gross proceeds, according to a letter from the company's CEO to its stakeholders. AquaBounty CEO Sylvia Wulf 's written update said the public offering of common stock will fortify the company's balance sheet. e stock offering is part of AquaBounty's long-term strategy, which includes constructing a new, 10,000-metric-ton fish farm in Pioneer, Ohio, valued at $320 million.
