Farmington elevator maker Otis Worldwide Corp.'s board of directors has named company President and CEO Judy Marks as chair. She will begin the post Feb. 3. Marks was named CEO in June 2019. Marks will succeed Chris Kearney, who plans to remain on the board. Kearney has served as the board's executive chair since Otis became an independent, publicly-traded company in April 2020. Glastonbury marketing agency Cronin has hired Rick McKenna to lead the company's Boston expansion. McKenna's experience includes 15 years as president of Wallwork Curry McKenna in Boston, where he worked with healthcare, financial, technology and consumer clients, including Boston Private Bank, Stryker, Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare, Fresh City and MIT. In addition to his prior agency Law firm Goldberg Segalla has added Paul J. Small to its workers' compensation group in Hartford. Small was previously with Clendenen and Shea in New Haven. Nonprofit development corporation CIL has hired Alyssa Lajoie as marketing coordinator. Lajoie will produce and develop internal and external marketing communication materials. West Hartford lobbying firm Roy & Leroy Government Relations LLC has hired Joy Avallone as a senior lobbyist. Avallone previously was the general counsel for the Insurance Association of Connecticut, where she served as one of the chief lobbyists for Connecticut's insurance and financial services industry. She is also a former assistant attorney general for the state of Connecticut. Trinity College has named Hellen Hom-Diamond its new vice president of strategic marketing and communications. Eric Harrison, most recently the president and CEO of a United Way chapter in Ventura County, California, will assume leadership of the Connecticut organization on Feb. 22. Harrison will succeed Paula S. Gilberto, who announced her retirement in May. Gilberto headed the affiliate since 2016. Prior to his work in Ventura County, Harrison held various roles at United Way chapters in California and Minnesota.
