PWM is the first airport in the United States to use 100% Recycled Aircraft De-Icing Fluid.
By capturing sprayed de-icing fluid and processing it to be used again, PWM is no longer
trucking de-icing fluid in from offsite.
PWM was the second commercial airport in the U.S. to attain LEED (Leadership in Energy
and Environmental Design) Gold Certification from the U.S> Green Building Council
PWM has a solar array on the top level of the parking garage. Over a 12 month period to
array produces enough electricity to power the entire parking garage operation.
