Bose Corp., an audio equipment manufacturer, announced in early 2021 it would vacate its Stow campus and move nearly 1,500 employees to its headquarters in Framingham. In September, Bose entered a purchase- and-sale agreement with e Masters Academy, a for-profit school for grades 6-12 with a focus on sports. According to the school's proposal, the development of the site will include a $28-million investment, with the construction of an ice rink, several units of workforce housing, and outdoor athletics fields. Leominster water testing lab loses license Environmental Testing and Research Laboratories, Inc., a Leominster water testing laboratory, had its license revoked by the Mass. Department of Environmental Protection. e decertification occurred aer the lab "repeatedly failed to properly analyze private drinking water samples and report the test results in accordance with its certification and state regulations," per the MassDEP announcement. ETR Laboratories released a five-page statement on MassDEP's decision, stating there were "numerous inconsistencies and contradictions." e statement stressed that ETR recently received re-accreditation from the International Organization for Standardization, a water treatment certification for global companies.
