It contains a mix of three- and four-bedroom apartments with 133 total beds. It was built in 2008. e buyer was 51 Eckart SHU LLC, which is controlled by CQM Fund III LLC of Stamford. e seller was Acorn I LLC, which is controlled by John L. Williams and Stephanie Stiefel Williams, state records show. Post Road plans to partially demolish and revamp an 1880s-era commercial building on the property to accommo- date a new six-story building for a total of 75 units. Other amenities: Four larger town- house units, a 1,470-square-foot roof deck and a solar array on the roof to reduce power consumption. In addition, 5% of the units will be "deeply affordable," with half going to those earning 50% of the area median income and the other half to those earning 30% of the median. "It's a cousin not a direct sibling to the project we designed across the street," said John McFadyen of Post Road. Kenneth Boroson, of New Hav- en-based Kenneth Boroson Architects, was involved in designing the new building. — Liese Klein New England Brewing announces move to West Haven waterfront New England Brewing Co., long headquartered in Woodbridge, will move to the West Haven waterfront, the company and city officials announced. e cra brewer, maker of the pop- ular Sea Hag IPA, plans to build a new brewery, tap room and event space in the former Savin Rock Conference Cen- ter at 6 Rock St. Long unused and dilapidated, the conference center will be torn down and replaced by a 52,000-square-foot new building, said Marty Juliano, the brew- er's director of business development. NEBCO intends to expand its workforce from the current 32 to up to 100 employees in the new location, Juliano said. e new brewery expects to welcome at least 350,000 visitors a year, numbers based on estimates from similar tourism-oriented breweries in the state. Founded in South Norwalk, NEBCO moved to Woodbridge in 2002 and to its current location in 2013. e brewery had explored a move to River Street in New Haven, presenting its project to community groups and submitting plans for an 80,000-square foot facility to the city's development commission.
