Devens facility Advanced processing manufacturer Accumet Engineering, Inc., currently based in Hudson and Westford, plans to consolidate its operations in a planned 39,375 square-foot facility in Devens, using a $4.14-million tax-exempt bond from MassDevelopment. e company plans to start construction on the facility this month, with a project completion date of August. Accumet services customers in the medical, bioscience, RF/microwave, microelectronics, aerospace, and defense industries. After signing Amazon lease, Boston firm flips Northborough warehouses for $153M Northborough's two Amazon sorting centers have traded hands between real estate companies for $153 million, according to the Worcester South District Registry of Deeds. Amazon began leasing the warehouses at 330 and 350 Bartlett St. in late 2020, shortly aer they were built. Boston real estate firm TA Realty LLC bought the 92-acre property in 2019 for just over $3.6 million, according to the Northborough assessors' data. In the deal closed Oct. 13, TA Realty sold the property with its 600,000-square-foot facilities to Link Logistics Real Estate, an industrial-focused sect of New York real estate firm Blackstone Real Estate Advisors LP. e firm is a subsidiary of financial investment firm e Blackstone Group, which has $650 billion in assets under management. Sturbridge voters block planned $25M horse center In a special town meeting in October residents of Sturbridge voted 449-325 to deny zoning bylaws for a $25-million equine center, with sports betting. Rezoning was necessary to move the project forward, and it will now be stalled indefinitely, said Sturbridge Town Administrator Jeff Bridges. e project would have required sports betting to be legalized, a prospect at which the Mass. Senate has hesitated. Marlborough granted $3M for 180 housing units, downtown upgrades e City of Marlborough received a $3-million grant from the Gov. Charlie Baker Administration to support 180 new housing units and 5,000 square feet of retail, among other Main Street upgrades. e funding will go toward three mixed-use devel- opment projects totaling tens of millions of dollars in private investment and providing several hundred construction jobs, per the announcement.
