Martell succeeds James Rosen in the role. Martell has an extensive back- ground in the industry, and played a role in the success of medicines such as Kadcyla, Elelyso, Intermezzo and Ogivri. She has had several leadership roles during her career, including for Kura Oncology and Juniper Pharma- ceuticals. She started her pharmaceu- tical career at Pfizer. Martell was a practicing physician at Yale for 20 years and remains active as an entrepreneur in residence at the university's Office of Cooperative Research. Liberty Bank names new head of retail lending Matthew Cammarota has been hired as the new senior vice president and head of retail lending at Middle- town-based Liberty Bank. Cammarota has some 25 years of ex- perience in commu- nity banking, most recently at Webster Bank. Cammarota currently serves as chairperson of the Consumer Bankers Association's home equity committee and as a board member, vice chair and volun- teer with Columbus House in New Haven. Woodbridge International names Macina to VP post Mergers-and-acquisitions firm Woodbridge International has named Jane M. Macina to the post of vice president. Macina will work with wealth man- agers and their business-owner clients on preparing for transactions, with a focus on realistic value ranges, optimal timing for a sale and common pitfalls. She will report to Senior Managing Director Larry Reinharz. Prior to joining Woodbridge, Macina worked for Merrill Lynch and Bank of America, and she has 25 years of expe- rience working with business owners as both a commercial lender and wealth manager. Avangrid Renewables gets new leadership Avangrid Inc., an Orange-based energy company, recently appointed Bill White and Jose Antonio Miranda to serve as co-presidents and CEOs of Avangrid Renewables. White will serve as offshore president and CEO, while Miranda will serve as onshore president and CEO. Alejandro de Hoz, who had served as president and CEO of Avangrid Renew- ables, decided to leave the company, according to an an- nouncement. White and Mi- randa report directly to CEO Dennis V. Arriola. White has served as head of U.S. offshore wind at Avangrid Renewables since October 2020. In this role, he has led the development and implementa- tion of the company's overall offshore wind strategy, which includes projects in Massachusetts, Connecticut and North Carolina. Miranda was previously CEO of Onshore in the Americas region for Siemens Gamesa and chairman of its boards in the U.S., Mexico and Brazil. Avangrid Renewables owns and op- erates a portfolio of renewable energy generation facilities across the United States. Gaylord names new exec to lead philanthropic growth Gaylord Specialty Healthcare recently named Roslyn Gilhuly as its associate vice president for development opera- tions and campaign initiatives. Gaylord, based in Wallingford, is a nonprofit healthcare organization focused on rehabilitation. Gil- huly is responsible for developing and implementing campaign strategies that lead to Gaylord's philanthropic growth. Gilhuly, of Wallingford, has more than 25 years of experience in fund- raising, donor stewardship, communi- cations, public relations, event plan- ning, logistical support and corporate relationship building.
