(Order based on sales date) T he former Wallingford home of Edible Arrangements, the maker and seller of fresh fruit arrange- ments that relocated its headquar- ters to Atlanta in 2018, has been listed for sale. e 34,556-square-foot office build- ing at 95 Barnes Road was listed in October, according to CoStar. ere is no asking price. e office building is currently owned by SKF Barnes LLC, whose principal is TF Edible Holdings LLC, state records show. TF Edible has a business address based in Atlanta, Georgia, where Edible Arrangements is now headquartered. TF Edible originally purchased the office building in 2006 for $3.1 million, town records show. Edible Arrangements was founded by well-known Connecticut entrepre- neur Tariq Farid, who le his CEO post in 2018 to focus on growing Edible Brands, the franchiser's parent com- pany that includes technology, sup- ply-chain and several other businesses. Shortly aer that, Edible Arrange- ments named a new chief executive — former Tropical Smoothie Cafe CEO Mike Rotondo — and moved its head- quarters to Atlanta. In 2019, Farid announced he was piv- oting into the booming CBD (cannabi- diol) business, forming the Incredible Edibles brand, which sells plant-based and CBD products, and has been based in the former Edible Arrangements office in Wallingford. It's not clear if Incredible Edibles still has a presence in the Wallingford property. e company didn't respond to a request for comment. Incredible Edi- bles did open one of its first stores in Glastonbury earlier this year. e Barnes Road property was built in 1986, sits on 4.89 acres and has 160 parking spaces. Winstanley Enterprises formerly owned the building, records show. Branford Stop & Shop gas station service center sells for $2.9M A Stop & Shop gas station service center in the town of Branford has sold for $2.9 million, land records show. e 1.19 acre property at 104-106 North Main St., sold in late September. e buyer was Cromwell real estate investor William Coons III. e seller was New Jersey-based real estate investor e Hampshire Cos. Hampshire Cos. originally bought the property in 2011 for $1.9 million, town records show. e retail building on-site contains 2,080 square feet and was built in 2012. Stream Capital Partners represent- ed the seller in the deal, according to CoStar. Milford business park sells for $3.3M e Marsh Hill Business Park at 4 Oxford Rd. in Milford sold recently for $3.3 million. e park has a mix of commercial and condominium tenants. It includes 17 units divided among five buildings for a total of some 33,000 square feet. Colonial Properties Inc. in Orange was the sole broker in the sale. Michael Richetelli, president and designated broker, represented the sell- er, Sanibel 955 LLC, while Tony Vitti represented the buyer, Oxford Condos LLC. e new owner's principals are Avraham Mehl of Brooklyn, N.Y., and David Marasow of New Haven, accord- ing to state records. Colonial had also brokered a prior sale of the property in 2005. According to Richetelli, the com- mercial investment property has a long history of stable tenancy. A variety of tenants, from medical to financial-relat- ed businesses, currently occupy the site. MDI buys neighboring property for expansion Mercantile Development Inc. has purchased an 11.47-acre parcel on Wa- terview Drive in Shelton, which it plans to use for future expansion. Chris O'Hara, senior vice president of Coldwell Banker Commercial, based in Westport, completed the $2 million sale. Mercantile Development, or MDI, moved its corporate headquarters and manufacturing operations to Shelton about 25 years ago with new construc- tion at 10 Waterview Dr. e acreage involved in the transac- tion is undeveloped land at 30 Water- view, according to O'Hara. e company plans a second facility to accommodate its continued growth, it said. e family-owned and operated com- pany makes several wiper products for cleaning, such as towels for sanitizing and disinfecting, all-purpose wipes and dust cloths. Its customers are in various indus- tries, including health care, foodservice establishments, aerospace and phar- maceutical companies. Its products have been in particularly high demand during the COVID-19 pandemic. Pitney Bowes, a global shipping and mailing company based in Stamford with some operations in Shelton, sold a portion of its Waterview Drive property to MDI. Brook + Whittle leases East Haven industrial site Growing label manufacturer Brook + Whittle, which has its headquar- ters in Guilford, recently leased an 18,764-square-foot industrial space at 218 Foxon Rd., East Haven.
