Supporting Nonprofits as they
respond to the New Normal
W
elcome to the 12th edition of
the Giving Guide: Business
Gives Back.
Businesses in the Greater Hartford
region have a long history of giving
back to their communities and
investing in social services, culture,
healthcare and education. With
so many deserving nonprofits, it's
sometimes difficult to discern and
prioritize corporate and individual
giving.
The Giving Guide can be a useful
resource tool to inform and connect
you with the many organizations
that work so tirelessly throughout
the year to provide for, and serve, our
community with compassion and
resolve.
The Profiles of a cross-section of
nonprofits provide insight into how
these organizations are responding
and retooling to meet the critical
needs the pandemic has presented
and how they are navigating the new
normal. You can learn more about
their mission, giving and volunteer
opportunities and the business and
community leaders guiding them.
The Directory provides a listing of
a broad section of nonprofits serving
our region. The nonprofit sector is
essential to meeting the needs of
our communities and is pivotal in
our state's economy. They need your
support.
All of us at the Hartford Business
Journal are proud to be part of such
a caring and generous business
community that gives back every day.
We thank our founding partners -
The Hartford Foundation for Public
Giving and the United Way of Central
and Northeastern Connecticut - our
sponsors, nonprofit partners and the
hundreds of organizations listed in the
directory for your support.
As we all learn how to navigate the
new normal, one thing is for certain,
the impact of giving has multiple
returns- helping others can enrich us
all, both personally and professionally.
Welcome
