I lead the development of strategy and program/initiative development to achieve Legrand Group's corporate social responsibility (CSR) objectives in North and Central America. This includes tailoring initiatives to be relevant to our regional social, environmental and market context. This leadership role entails contributing to the development of Legrand's global CSR roadmap, leading a corporate team of sustainability professionals and organizing and coordinating eight cross-company teams representing every division that work to drive achievement of our CSR objectives in specific areas. I am also a member of the Legrand North and Central America executive team and co-lead several corporatewide initiatives. What have been your biggest professional accomplishments over the past year? In mid-2018, I assumed responsibility for creating a corporate Environment, Health and Safety program. In April 2020, my CEO asked me to lead a COVID response team. We are very gratified that internal surveys reflect high employee confidence in the response to COVID and with everyone's best efforts, the business has stayed well on course. In what ways are you involved in the community? I am executive sponsor of the Legrand Better Communities program, which I am proud to have spearheaded in 2014. I oversee the company's law department, government affairs and compliance. I also chair The Hartford's Environment Committee. What have been your biggest professional accomplishments over the past year? Being part of a team that has helped The Hartford navigate the COVID-19 pandemic by keeping the health and safety of our employees and communities front and center. We did this while continuing to serve our customers and maintain our high standards of ethics and compliance. In what ways are you involved in the community? I proudly chair the MetroHartford Alliance Board of Directors, which is aggressively driving economic development with a new set of tools and resources for the benefit of the city, all its neighborhoods and the Greater Hartford region. I also serve on the boards of iQuilt, CRDA and Junior Achievement of Southwest New England, each of which play a key role in the region. As a representative of The Hartford's dedication to the Capital City that our company has called home for 211 years, I seek out every opportunity I can to support the city where I have spent the vast majority of my adult life. I've served on countless not- for-profit boards focused on the well-being and vibrancy of the city of Hartford — painting houses in the Asylum Hill neighborhood and helping to clean and replant cherished parks and green spaces within the city. Not only do I give my time to organizations that support the city and its residents, I also enjoy frequenting the innumerable arts, entertainment and restaurant offerings in Greater Hartford.
