C O M The parent company of Berkshire Bank has hired a veteran state banker as its new senior vice president, president and middle market team leader in southern Connecticut. Berkshire Hills Bancorp Inc. named Jeffrey Klaus to serve in those positions at Berkshire Bank. He will be based in New Haven and lead the middle-market regional banking teams and have primary responsibility for new business originations, managing commercial banking relationships, and building deeper community connections in the southern Connecticut market. Klaus has over three decades of banking experience, having served most recently as regional vice president at Webster Bank. Connecticut- based Springtide Child Development, which is opening a West Hartford location, has named Jennifer Gilchrist its chief operating officer. Gilchrist will lead all operations nationally for Springtide, which specializes in the treatment of autism spectrum disorder, including clinical and field staff as well as community engagement efforts. Gilchrist comes from Landmark Health where she held a variety of leadership roles, including being a member of the executive operating team. Hartford accounting and consulting firm Whittlesey has promoted Patrick Kelly and Gabriel Rosado to manager. Both are CPAs. Kelly joined the firm in 2013 and has over eight years of experience in public accounting providing assurance services for privately-held and nonprofit entities, with expertise in real estate, low-income housing and closely-held businesses. Rosado joined the firm in 2016 and has over 15 years of public accounting experience providing tax and advisory services to high- net-worth individuals, closely-held businesses, and retail industries. Brett Williams will take over the construction/design-build group at Burns & McDonnell in 2022. Williams began his career at Burns & McDonnell in 1999 as a project manager at the firm's Kansas City headquarters before moving to Connecticut to lead a $1 billion project as program manager. His leadership of that program evolved into the creation of the firm's New England office, which has been one of the fastest-growing regional offices at Burns & McDonnell. The Hartford has appointed Charlene Ridgeway as its chief ethics and compliance officer, taking over the role from Colleen Pernerewski, who was appointed deputy general counsel and head of business law. Ridgeway joined The Hartford in 2003 and has held roles of increasing responsibility, most recently as vice president for the company's liability major case unit. She previously worked at Travelers Cos. The Hartford HealthCare Center for Healthy Aging has named Fredrick Morley a geriatric care manager. The center, which has locations across the state, provides information and services to seniors. Morley will be covering the central region of the state. He holds three years of clinical experience as a visiting nurse at Hartford HealthCare. The Boston/ New England District Council of the Urban Land Institute has hired Tim Moore as its new manager. In his role, Moore will oversee events and programming for ULI Boston/New England, including its regional technical assistance panel program. Prior to joining ULI Boston/New England, Moore served as founder and principal at Connecticut-based Blue Haus Group, a private real estate and economic development firm.
