28 HARTFORDBUSINESS.COM | OCTOBER 4, 2021 W hen the team at United Way asked us to renew our commitment and serve as Co-Chairs for the 2021 Community Campaign, we did not hesitate. Co-chairing last year's campaign, we saw firsthand the value of the partnerships, the generosity that exists in our community and the difference that it makes for local children and families. While the COVID-19 pandemic has required us to do things differently, what has not changed is that when we unite together to give, advocate and volunteer, we address the root causes of problems and contribute to a community in which every child, adult and family has the opportunity to thrive … and that is what it means to LIVE UNITED. For many children, adults and families, recovery from the economic, health and learning loss impacts of COVID-19 will not be immediate. United Way will continue to bring together the people, resources and organizations to address immediate needs and finding long-term solutions, ensuring we recover from the pandemic stronger than before. Addressing these challenges will take every one of us. Together, we can do so much more than any one of us can do alone. When you give to United Way, you are supporting a network of partners who are working together to meet the complex needs of people in our region, efficiently and effectively. The progress we make is only possible because of people like you. Are you ready to LIVE UNITED? Join us: • GIVE. Donate through your local workplace campaign or by visiting unitedwayinc.org/donate.
