The Center is an oasis of loving support in
Southern Maine for children, teens, their
families, and others experiencing loss, grief,
and life-impacting illness. Participants benefit
from free Peer Support Programs for as
long as needed: Tender Living Care serves
families from the point of diagnosis through
their journey with illness; Bereavement
provides grief support for children, teens,
their parents and caregivers, young adults,
bereaved parents, and widows/widowers/
partners; and Intercultural, in partnership
with Portland Public Schools, creates healing
communities for children and teens resettled
in Maine from countries affected by war,
violent conflict, and natural disaster.
