He will succeed Mark Cousineau, who has been president and CEO of the organization since 1999. Cousineau will remain as CEO until his retirement later this year. Silva has been CIC's vice president for the past three years. He also previously worked at Webster Bank. Louis Silva Tia Cintron Scott Kemp Ginne-Rae Clay, president of the Greater Waterbury NAACP and a small business consultant, has been selected as the inaugural interim executive director of the state Social Equity Council (SEC), which will have a large role in approving cannabis business licenses. In addition to her position leading the Greater Waterbury NAACP, Clay is president of Executive Solutions, where she provides management and technical assistance for entrepreneurs and small business owners. She has also served as Bridgeport's director of planning and economic development and worked at the Department of Economic and Community Development. David W. Bogan has joined Day Pitney as an energy partner in the firm's Boston and Hartford offices. He was previously a partner at Locke Lord LLP. Bogan's practice encompasses all aspects of public utility regulation before state administrative agencies and state and federal courts, and he advises some of the nation's largest energy, cable, telecommunications and water companies on regulatory issues and acquisitions. Bill Geist, who spent 26 years at ESPN, including as a senior vice president of finance, has a new career as a Realtor at Berkshire Hathaway Homeservices New England. He is joining his wife Taitiana Geist, who is also a Berkshire Realtor. and delivery operations, as well as business development with both PepsiCo and Coca-Cola. Real estate investment firm Five Eight Holdings' Managing Partner Richard Brown has been named to the executive leadership team of the Connecticut Real Estate Investors Association (CTREIA). Brown joins CTREIA as director of coaching and chief membership officer. Five Eight Holdings invests in and renovates properties, including multifamily homes and rentals. Brown most recently served as vice president of investor relations for the MetroHartford Alliance. Richard Brown West Hartford-based YHB Investment Advisors Inc. has made two recent hires: Mike Bonzani is a portfolio administrator and Max Mike Bonzani Max Eichner The Connecticut State Dental Association (CSDA) has appointed Kathlene Gerrity as its new executive director. Gerrity joins the CSDA after years in the nonprofit industry, including most recently as executive director of the Connecticut Burns Care Foundation.
