The coronavirus hits Connecticut hard in March, forcing Gov. Ned Lamont to shut down the state economy. Businesses, schools and other organizations close and send employees home to work remotely. Hartford HealthCare begins moving some of the 700 employees it plans to relocate to its newly-leased 100 Pearl St. office tower in downtown Hartford. The groundbreaking finally occurs for the first phase of Hartford's Downtown North redevelopment project, a $250 million plan for a mix of housing and retail.
