I am amazed and proud; amazed with how fast the time has gone by and proud of all the great things we have accomplished along the way. We have made a huge diff erence in the hundreds of technology companies we have served and in the lives of the candidates we have touched. Equally important, we have made an immense diff erence in the lives of so many past and present The Millard Group employees. I feel blessed that The Millard Group has been and will be the vehicle for so much goodness! I can't wait for the next 25 years! B uilding Whittlesey's technology division as a leading technology and cybersecurity resource in Connecticut and western Massachusetts, diff erentiated by a deep bench strength in cyber- forensics, managed technology services and accounting system consulting services is my biggest professional accomplishment. I received the award shortly after launching our technology division. Over the years, we've helped many clients optimize and secure their IT infrastructures. Recent global events have caused many businesses and non- profi t organizations to reevaluate their data security. I am incredibly proud of the amazing team we have assembled since being named a 40 Under Forty awardee. Daily, they support and protect our clients from cybercriminals and help businesses and organizations respond to attacks and successfully recover. I ronically, I received the 40 under Forty (which I thought would have been the apex of my career) just as my business was about to go through the rockiest time of its 33-year history. My award was in 2001, just weeks after 9/11. The impact of that attack on our nation was devastating for the recruiting business. Literally, our work came to a halt and over the next fi ve to seven years we had to transform everything: staff size, offi ce space, technology, client focus and even a change in ownership when my business partner exited the industry. With the joint eff ort of a loyal team, my greatest accomplishment is that with each challenge we adapted, survived and thrived! And with each problem we faced, we became smarter, stronger and more successful. Time is a great teacher. I am thinking 60 under Sixty should be the new 40 under Forty.
