It was such an honor and meant so much that members of my team had nominated me for such an award when they were the true reason for our success. That was an amazing time of my life, which I will never forget and I have maintained many relationships from that company over 20 years later. Even though I am back in my home town in Orange County, California there will always be a special place in my heart for the people of Hartford who helped me get to where I am today. I t has been exciting to continue to grow the organization and set the direction of the fi rm. While I have been in the fi nancial services industry for 35 years, I really have fi ve years of experience seven times over. The key to growth has been the ability to have enough scale, while being agile and nimble with change. The Credit Union has also provided financial counseling and education that helps members restore their credit and make more informed financial choices. Each year, we volunteer at and provide monetary support to dozens of worthy charitable causes. Our national award- winning Thousand Champions Against Hunger Campaign has funded 50,000 meals for people facing food insecurity. While secondary to helping others, our extensive community outreach continues to be fostered by Hartford Federal's financial excellence, having received 5-Star ratings for 30 consecutive years from credit union rating firm BauerFinancial, Inc.
