W inning the 40 Under 40 Award in my early 30s told me that my hard work and perseverance was paying off. It was also a testament to the group of people that I worked with every day and how they motivated me to be better. Coming from a background as a college football coach, transitioning to the business world made it easier for me — I was someone who was always driven by goals and success. Working with business leaders like Oz Griebel in the late 1990s was also something that taught me a lot and engaged me even deeper with the Hartford business community.
