People are fleeing densely populated areas in Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, California and other states, seeking out a sanctuary in Maine. Much of this growth has been focused in southern Maine. While these figures reflect what happened before the pandemic, the areas that have grown, particularly York and Cumberland counties, will likely prosper.
