32 Worcester Business Journal | August 16, 2021 | wbjournal.com DiBella is quickly becoming a rising star in Worcester. She obtained a senior designer position straight out of college and, through internships, was able to work with CBS's Inside Edition, Seventeen Magazine, and CollegeHumor.com. In 2019, DiBella opened her own creative agency, blending her design experience with her event managing, consulting, and brand development. As a past freelancer, DiBella worked with organizations such as InThink Agency, Citi Bank, Macy's, and Newsweek. Her current client list is ever- expanding, not just in the region with businesses such as Discover Central MA, Worcester District Medical Society, and the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce, but internationally as she forms business relationships in Jamaica, Singapore, Germany and Spain. DiBella overcame the struggle of opening a small business during a pandemic and now has dozens of clients seeking her creative approach to brand and identity development. She believes in the power of community and supporting one another. DiBella volunteered for BUILD Greater Boston and Girls Inc. of Worcester and serves on the boards for Main IDEA Youth & Arts and the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce. - S.P. What movie character would you like to be? Louise Banks, in Arrival. She embraces the unknown with curiosity, *spoiler alert* unlocks an alien language and attains a non-linear perception of time. How do you define success? Personally, it's a balance of helping others, fulfillment, inspiration, and life-long learning. For my business, it's happy clients, motivated team members, and account growth. Sabine worked in the restaurant industry for more than 10 years before deciding to open her dream business with her husband Bill. Every ingredient on the Rose Room's menu is locally sourced in New England and New York, with the very few exceptions of lemon, olive oil, and coffee. Despite having to close the cafe for three months during the coronavirus pandemic, Sabine opened an online shop to sell their breads and pastries, as well as local products, which her husband delivered throughout the area. Against the odds, the eatery has grown in the last year, adding six new employees. The Rose Room functions as a location for flower shares and a community- supported agriculture pickup location, and hosts frequent community nights including yoga classes, wine and cheese tastings, and clothing swaps. As secretary of the Webster Dudley Business Alliance, Sabine helps organize the alliance's monthly events to support roughly 75 small business owners. She is a mother of two, and gave birth to her first daughter just three months before opening the restaurant in 2018. - K.H. What decade would you like to time travel to? Roaring Twenties - for the parties and the clothes, of course. Is there alien life? Yes. Absolutely. Why do you live in Central Mass.? I grew up here and moved back to the area to have my daughter and be closer to family. What have you crossed off your bucket list? Living my dream life! Having kids. Owning my own cafe. 4 0 U N D E R F O R T Y POW! WOW!
