Its goal to educate and enlighten students to capitalize upon their ambitions and become ethical, national leaders is achieved through an experiential curriculum and a range of co-curricular activities to give students the opportunity to expand upon their leadership foundations. In 2020, Nichols completed a $66 million comprehensive capital campaign that focused on campus modernization, endowment growth, and enhanced leadership education. The campaign has served as a catalyst for new and expanded programs and resources to elevate the Nichols brand of business education. New facilities, such as an academic building with technology-rich team-based learning classrooms, engage students in their disciplines and advance professional preparation. The college added 60 endowed scholarships to its financial aid offerings, a dozen new areas of specialization, and two new master's degrees. Course embedded experiences, such as the student-managed investment fund, Bloomberg terminals, the Nichols Consulting Group, and the Center for Intelligent Process Automation, increase student prospects for competitive positions and further enhance the value of a Nichols education. Beyond the classroom, the Emerging Leaders Program and the Institute for Women's Leadership provide opportunities for students to discover and cultivate their leadership potential. Each year, more than 95 percent of Nichols graduates are either employed or enrolled in graduate school. Nichols is ranked 12th nationally among undergraduate business schools for salary potential and 13th as a Best Value Business College by Payscale. com. And, for the past six years, the college has been recognized as the Best College for Business Education by the astute readers of the Worcester Business Journal. Nichols has forged unique connections in Central Massachusetts, including several partnerships with the business community. The Graduate and Professional Studies division works with area companies, which have included Fidelity Bank, Wolf & Co. PC, AAFCPAs, and KARL STORZ, to customize on-site certificate and degree programs that enhance both staff and organizational development. Nichols begins a new chapter in its 206-year history when it welcomes eighth president, Glenn M. Sulmasy, JD, LL.M, on July 1. Sulmasy, the former provost and chief academic officer at Bryant University, plans to build upon the solid foundations of Nichols and increase its regional and national prominence as the college of choice for business and leadership education.. n Nichols College Nichols campus
