We are growing our business in Connecticut, even with the high energy costs and difficult state policies to support small businesses. We wish to grow to become a $100-million company in the next five years and have all the necessary products to make that happen. S ince 1971, Shelco Filters has manufactured and distributed industrial-grade and high-purity and sanitary filter housings and cartridges used in applications including water, food, petrochemicals, photographic solutions, paints and coatings, beverages, pharmaceuticals, fuels, gases, chemicals, cosmetics and lubricants. Our products are used by clients around the globe. Tell us a bit about your recent accomplishments. Over the last 15 years, we built and moved into a 40,000-square-foot building. We also introduced a new product line, manufacturing high- purity filter cartridges, complete with a clean room. We quickly outgrew the space and added 20,000 square feet with a new, larger, updated clean room. Where do you see your business in the next five years? We continue to grow our product lines and it appears that we may need to expand again. We are currently operating with the second generation leading, but the third generation is now involved and beginning to make decisions that will morph into succession.
