BIC launches new pride pack, partnership with Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg BIC, a Shelton-based company that has manufactured stationery, lighters and shavers for more than 75 years, has introduced a new product line called BodyMark by BIC Pride Pack. e packs contain rainbow colors along with six brush-tip temporary tattoo markers, and include a design booklet that suggests various ways for customers to show support for the LGBTQ+ Pride communities. BIC also recently partnered with entertainment legend Snoop Dogg, lifestyle innovator Martha Stewart, and Marquee Brands, to market the BIC EZ Reach lighter, which is equipped with a 1.45-inch extended wand on a body the size of a pocket lighter. e partnership will extend into 2022. New Haven's Cybrexa doses first patient in trial of tumor- targeting drug New Haven cancer biotech Cybrexa erapeutics recently dosed its first patient in a clinical trial of its experimental tumor- targeting drug. e drug, called CBX-12, is the four- year-old company's first to enter the human testing phase. It aims to fight tumors with fewer toxic side effects by depositing powerful cancer- fighting agents directly into tumor cells. e first phase of the study will evaluate the drug in patients with advanced or metastatic solid tumors that have not responded to previous treatments, according to Cybrexa. e trial will potentially validate the safety and efficacy shown in animal studies, and establish the recommended dose for phase two trials, the company said. Cybrexa, based at 5 Science Park, earlier this year raised $25 million in a Series B2 round to fund the trial, which was greenlighted by the FDA in March. n We're here for business, family and family business.
