The UConn School of Business has appointed Meghan Hanrahan to the newly-created role of executive director of master of science programs. A two-time UConn alumna, Hanrahan now provides program leadership, career management, and operation oversight to five specialized graduate programs, including accounting, business analytics and project management, financial risk management, human resources management, and the newly-created financial technology (fintech) program. She resides in Newington. She will report to Diane Hannes, president and general manager of WVIT. Kathleen Kelleher has joined East Hartford-based contractor Solidus as an estimator. She will coordinate with the construction and field staff at Solidus to calculate the costs and quantities of materials needed to complete construction and branding projects. Kelleher came to Solidus from Travelers Cos., where she worked as a claims adjuster. She is a UConn graduate and resides in West Hartford. Jeffrey "Jeff" Talka has been named the national science and technology practice leader for multinational investment bank and financial services company. Former Aetna executive Shawn Guertin, who played a key role in the Hartford insurer's merger with CVS Health three years ago, has been named CVS's next chief financial officer. The Woonsocket, Rhode Island- based healthcare and retail pharmacy conglomerate said Guertin will start in his new role May 28, replacing Eva Boratto, who served as CFO since 2018. Guertin spent eight years with Aetna, where he held the titles of CFO, executive vice president and chief enterprise risk officer. He was serving as chief financial officer during CVS Health's $69 billion acquisition of Aetna, which was set into motion in December 2017 and closed nearly a year later, in November 2018. Guertin left the company in May 2019. Anne Evans has been appointed senior advisor at WorldBusiness Capital Inc., a Hartford-based domestic and international commercial lending institution.
