We connect with organizations in our communities supporting them financially, with material donations, and with the gift of time and service. S U S T A I N A B I L I T Y In our 170+ year company history, we've only ex- perienced two eastern white pine harvest cycles. It takes 80 -100 years before pine trees are ready to harvest, making our business a long-term commitment. Our sawmills run with zero-waste of raw materials, with 100% of the log fiber utilized. Sawdust by- products from our milling operations are also used in place of fossil fuels, and we generate power through turbines that utilize otherwise wasted steam from our dry kilns. Our team is also able to source and supply FSC Certified products, along with building materials that meet the rigorous Living Building Challenge requirements. Nearly 20 years ago I started as a part-time cashier and stock-girl. Little did I know then I would spend the rest of my career here! Hancock supported me through college; when the time came to move on, I had already grown so much at the company that I decided to stay. They have always fostered my growth and asked me, 'What's next?', and then helped get me to that next step. It's certainly challenging, but also extremely rewarding!
