In his new role Allan will continue reporting to Stanley CEO Jim Loree and take on new responsibilities for executing the company's growth strategies. A veteran at Stanley, Allan joined the company in 1999 as director of financial planning, and was appointed vice president and CFO nine years later. He previously held global financial management positions with Loctite Corp., and spent nine years with accounting firm Ernst & Young. Ken Barnum has joined East Hartford flooring company Dur-A-Flex Inc. as vice president of marketing, and Patrick O'Connell was hired as director of operations, quality and continuous improvement. Barnum previously worked as director of global marketing for Veeder- Root in Simsbury. O'Connell previously served as vice president of global quality and continuous improvement and operations at Stamford-based Rollease Acmeda Inc. Stacey Curran and Zachary DeFeo were hired as managers at Whittlesey, a Hartford-based advisory, tax and technology firm. Curran comes to Whittlesey with about eight years of public accounting experience with expertise in nonprofit and healthcare organizations, financial services firms, and employee benefit plans. DeFeo has over a decade of public accounting experience and six years in the private sector with various tax and financial management roles. Kyleigh Caron has joined Rocky Hill commercial real estate firm O,R&L Commercial as an agent. Caron, in her new role, will serve as both a listing agent and buyer/tenant representative, with a concentration in investment sales. Sean Riley, Chris Thomas and Robert Wong have joined the board of directors at Gifts of Love, an Avon nonprofit that provides food, clothing and other services to Connecticut families who don't qualify for government assistance. Riley is vice president of client delivery and practice management for management consulting firm Kelley Management Consulting Inc. Thomas is a retired former general manager for engineered springs and fasteners manufacturer MW Industries. Wong is director of strategic enablement at Prudential Financial. A. Rima Dael was named general manager of Fairfield-based public radio station WSHU, following the retirement of longtime general manager George Lombardi. Dael joined WSHU in 2019 as a station manager. She previously worked as executive director of development and major gifts at New England Public Radio — now New England Public Media — in Springfield, Mass. Eileen Candels was hired as advanced technology outreach coordinator at East Hartford manufacturing advocate Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology (CCAT), and Joseph Wysocki has joined CCAT as manager, advanced technology centers. In her role, Candels will lead outreach activities with employers, community partners and educators to encourage upskilling programs and increase adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies. Wysocki will oversee operations, programs and project execution of CCAT's advanced technology centers. David MacDonald has been elected the president of the Connecticut Funeral Directors Association, a Wethersfield- based association that promotes the funeral industry. MacDonald is president of Wallingford Funeral Home and Yalesville Funeral Home. Grace Cavallo has been appointed chief program officer at Connecticut Mental Health Affiliates Inc., a New Britain-based nonprofit behavioral health treatment provider. Cavallo will oversee more than 40 programs at the CMHA. She previously served as a program officer as part of the senior management team, supervising all of CMHA's residential programs for adults with chronic mental health issues.
