Miodrag and Dajana Delmic — spouses who own Cheshire-based Target Sports USA — purchased in December a 12,150-square-foot warehouse at 30 Diana Court. e seller was Liz Holdings LLC. e industrial warehouse, which was built in 2001, also contains office space. e entire property spans 2.87 acres and includes 30 parking spaces. Target Sports USA specializes in selling bulk ammo online with free shipping. Its products also include target sports gear, firearms, body armor and other accessories. Miodrag Delmic, a Rocky Hill resident, said his 50-employee company plans to break ground in April on an expansion of the recently purchased property that will double its footprint to about 26,000 square feet. e building will be used as cold storage space for some of the accessories it sells like clothing and paper targets. "We like to keep accessories apart from the core business," Delmic said. "It helps us be more organized." Target Sports' primary Cheshire headquarters will remain at 30 Fieldstone Court. Delmic said his company is coming off a banner year in 2020 as U.S. firearm sales soared amid economic, political and social uncertainty. About 8.5 million people across the U.S. purchased their first firearm last year, according to the National Shooting Sports Foundation. However, 2021 could be a more chal- lenging year, Delmic said, because there is a nationwide ammunition shortage that's hindering his ability to find inventory. e Delmics have been active buying new real estate. In November, they purchased for $2.2 million a Wethersfield which is controlled by Yechezkel Landau of Lakewood, New Jersey. e apartment building contains one- and two-bedroom units with rents that average between $1,268 to $1,374, according to CoStar. e property was built in 1989 and covers 3.6 acres, including 150 surface parking spaces, according to CoStar. Old Saybrook retail plaza heads to auction block for $2.4M An Old Saybrook shopping plaza an- chored by Ocean State Job Lot and Dollar Tree is heading to the auction block this month with a $2.4 million asking price. e 94,175-square-foot Shoppes at Old Saybrook at 901 Boston Post Road will be auctioned off March 22-24 on online auction site Ten-X. e property consists of two single-story retail buildings located on the east/west commercial thoroughfare of Route 1, and is currently 96 percent occupied. e 8.47 acre site also includes 337 park- ing spaces. e property is owned by Basser Kaufman Saybrook LLC, which is controlled by Steve Kaufman, who is listed as a princi- pal of New York real estate investment firm Basser Kaufman, state records show.
