Hartford HealthCare (HHC) has named Amanda (Mandy) Richards its executive vice president and the system's first-ever chief nursing officer. Most recently, Richards was chief nursing officer at Allina Health, a nonprofit system with 12 hospitals in Minnesota and Wisconsin. She has advocated for nurses as a member of the American Association of Nurse Executives and is recognized nationally for her leadership. As chief nursing officer, Richards will play a key role in HHC's quality and safety efforts and also enhance the system's training and education of nurses. Michael Dumais was hired as chief transformation officer at defense manufacturer Raytheon Technologies Corp., responsible for leading high- impact business transformation initiatives over the next year. Dumais has served the company in a range of executive positions since joining predecessor company United Technologies Corp. in 1998. An engineer by training, Kurian has also previously held product strategy and consulting roles at Akamai Technologies, McKinsey & Co. and Oracle Corp. He starts on Cigna's board March 1. Destiny Davis has been promoted to director of youth programs at Leadership Greater Hartford, a nonprofit that provides training and networking opportunities for aspiring and established community leaders. In her new role she will be responsible for planning and executing all youth programming. Patty Luxton has been promoted to the position of top technical executive at Glastonbury IT firm Kelser Corp. Luxton previously held the position of vice president of engineering. Kathryn Redican was promoted to the position of COO at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices (BHHS) New England Properties, Westchester Properties and New York Properties, responsible for Susan M. Brosseau, CFO at Cromwell-based Ädelbrook Behavioral and Developmental Services, received the Connecticut Society of Public Accountants' 2021 Distinguished Service Award. Brosseau has been a key member of Ädelbrook's senior leadership team for over five years and has deep accounting-industry experience. Previously, she was a supervisor at accounting firm Guilmartin, Dipiro and Sokolowski, a senior accountant at the Universal Health Care Foundation of CT and a senior manager in the accounting division of the professional services company PwC. Connecticut Society of Public Accountants is a professional association that promotes and supports more than 6,000 certified public accountants. Glastonbury- based architecture firm SLAM Collaborative promoted four Glastonbury employees to the position of associate principal.
