Downtown grant aids car dealer Fairfield's economic development grant program awarded $13,962 to a Farmingdale auto dealer opening a new location in town. Maine Avenue Auto Sales recently bought 23 Main St. with plans to open its third dealership. It has other dealerships in Farmingdale and Winslow. e $13,962 grant will be a 50% match in a total $27,929 project to repair and replace windows, doors and trim, put up signs, clean the exterior, make it ADA-compliant. Clock tower gets modern update Lyman-Morse Technologies com- bined its custom composite capabilities with precision fabrication technology to create historically accurate clock hands for Boston's landmark Custom House Tower. e firm is a divi- sion of Lyman-Morse Boatbuilding in omaston. It was contracted by Knollmeyer Construction Corp. to build five sets of clock hands. e four-sided clock is part of the 495- foot tower at the Financial District's Custom House.
