elcome to our 2021 Book of Lists publication. This annual issue has
been beefed up again this year with an economic forecast, which is
aimed at helping inform the region's business, civic and nonprofit
leaders as they plan and strategize for 2021.
As you comb through the more than 50 lists in this year's book, you'll also
notice fact boxes and news tidbits that will provide more context to some
of our lists. They highlight significant changes that occurred in some of our
rankings and data.
In addition, prominent economists and business executives provide
economic forecasts covering the real estate, health care, manufacturing and
banking industries.
For a seventh straight year, we also surveyed our business owner and
executive readers to get their insights on hiring and investment trends for the
year ahead. The survey results are sprinkled throughout the publication.
