Bay Winery is Plymouth's longest
running winery producing artisanal
craft wines from fruits indigenous
to the Northeast, USA. Particularly
known for their cranberry wines,
they are listed as one of the top ten
attractions in Plymouth.
Purchased from the original owner
in 2011, Mike and Pam Carr have
focused on bringing the best winery
experience to all of their guests.
Additionally, they partner with other
local businesses to manufacture
other products with their wines such
as: Al's Backwood Berries Company,
Plymouth, MA, producer of their
award winning jellies and gourmet
wine sauces; Puopulo Candies in
Hingham MA, producer of their wine
chocolate barks; and Bittersweet
Soap Works, Plymouth, MA,
producer of their wine infused soaps.
They believe in the philosophy that
"a rising tide lifts all boats." They
have grown the business by 700% in
a few short years and created 10 new
positions. Even in these challenging
times, they are looking to expand
their operations and increase their
work force.
Plymouth Bay Winery also
participates in local and statewide
causes. Mike is a Board member
of Destination Plymouth and the
Distinguished Visitors Committee.
They are also very active in the
community and work with many local
charities to bring attention to their
causes: ALSOne, The Jimmy Fund,
South Shore YMCA, among others.
