+K ThermoForming is an ISO
9001:2015 certified, family-
owned, custom Thermoformer
located in Southbridge,
Massachusetts. They have been
designing and manufacturing
protective packaging since 1984. ISO
Certification is K+K ThermoForming's
commitment to quality. Using
ISO standards, all prototypes,
thermoforming tools, and steel rule
or forged dies must pass 100%
characteristic inspections.
K+K is committed to sustainable
practice and believes in producing
100% biodegradable packaging while
adhering to green manufacturing
practices. K+K manufacturing, office,
and warehouse areas use computer
monitored climate control systems
to preserve electricity and maintain
a constant environment. K+K uses
energy-efficient lighting systems,
and motion sensor lights.
K+K ThermoForming constantly
searches for new, environmentally
responsible films for testing and
forming. They utilize sustainable
types of post-consumer content
material whenever possible,
including prime APET made with
30% renewable resources and
PET made with a minimum of 50%
PCR, as used in soda bottles.
K+K recycles close to 100% of the
raw material that is left behind
by the manufacturing process, as
well as stainless steel, aluminum,
corrugated, and office supplies. They
use all-natural or recycled content
cleaning products and janitorial
supplies as well.
Responding to the Pandemic:
During the early spring of 2020,
K+K Thermoforming began producing
the first order of 80,000 shields
placed by the Face Shield COVID-19
Response Team at UMass Amherst.
Shields were distributed to medical
facilities and other front-line
responders in the region before an
expected virus peak in mid-April and
will continue production on demand.
