Our processes have expanded to include oil flow testing, electron discharge machining (EDM) and tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding of several alloys. Materials used include Inconel — nickel-chromium alloy — titanium, magnesium, aluminum and other exotic alloys. Birken manufactures finished parts from bar stock, castings and forgings. Birken is a supplier to major engine manufacturers such as Pratt & Whitney, Rolls Royce and GE Aviation. We also serve international customers ITP in Spain, Avio in Italy, MHI in Japan and GKN in Sweden as well as the U.S. government. We employ team players who are skilled and eager to learn. Operational roles include machinists, assembly and test technicians, and those working in areas of deburring and epoxy paint coatings. Quality roles include inspection professionals such as coordinate measuring machine (CMM) and fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI) technicians.
