Students learn on advanced equipment such as Fanuc industrial robots, precision measuring equipment, micrometers, dial calipers, scales, CNC tools, drills, mills, abrasives, high performance computers, CNC simulation software, as well as AutoCAD, Solidworks, MasterCAM, MS Excel for analysis, and multiple web-based learning management systems such as Tooling U-SME, camInstructor and much more. This is the same equipment used by today's manufacturers, making our students "work-ready" from the moment they are hired, thanks to the skillsets they have learned here. People lost their jobs and struggled to make ends meet, all while trying to continue with their education. We transitioned to remote instruction early in the pandemic and made sure all our support services also transitioned. The QCC Foundation, created a Student Emergency Fund that has raised over $109,000 for students in need. QCC students received this aid regardless of their citizenship, residency and whether or not they were full-time or part-time students.
