We utilize a whole family approach, understand- ing that responding to the needs of all household members is the most effec- tive way to break the cycle of poverty and ensure movement toward financial and social stability. KVCAP completes an in-depth Community Needs Assess- ment every three years. e results are the backbone of our strategic planning process, which includes individual/ family level goals, community level goals, and agency/sustainability goals. In addition to providing a wide range of direct services, we partner with hun- dreds of other entities to address local needs through collaborative efforts and mutual respect. FUNDRAISING EVENTS/ OPPORTUNITIES On October 2, 2020, KVCAP is hosting its 6th Annual Golf Tournament, renamed in memory of Mark K. Our tourna- ment historically raised match dollars for our Explorer public buses, but due to Covid-19, we have shifted our focus to raise funds will that help people dealing with the pandemic. Each spring, KVCAP hosts its annual Community Celebration, a free, family- friendly event that explains our services, along with a range of fun activities, including a climbing wall, petting zoo, art projects, a barbecue luncheon, and more. Princesses, superheroes, and sto- rybook characters mingle with guests, and delight children and adults alike. Volunteers play a major role in the event's success!
