SERVICE LOCATIONS Programming is offered throughout the state of Maine. Key areas or program- ming occur in Newry (Sunday River), Carrabassett Valley (Sugarloaf), New Gloucester (Pineland Farms), Bethel (Bethel Village Trails, Davis Park, Valentine Farm), Norway (Shepard's Farm, Roberts Farm Preserve, Norway Lake), Greenwood (Mt. Abram), Poland (Range Pond), Portland (Back Cove Trails), North Yarmouth (Toddy Brook Country Club), Scarborough (Salt Pump Climbing Co), Bar Harbor (Acadia National Park), Rumford (Black Mountain), Jefferson (Damariscotta Lake), and Bangor (Bangor City Forest). We also offer non-traditional program- ming through our "On the Road" campaign which brings our expertise, equipment, and experiences to you! Our guiding principles are to be as adaptable as our participants, to continue to offer recreational program- ming that empowers and encourages independence while investing in the health & wellness of all. f Be community partners and leaders: Continue to develop skilled capacity in the staff, volunteer and board mem- bership to guide the organization with expertise, flexibility and an eye to our future. Serve as an advocate within the state of Maine to support activities and community infrastructure that enhances the quality of recreation for all individuals living with a disability. f Be recognized for commitment to excellence & industry expertise: Demonstrate and share industry knowl- edge with community members and partners. Represent the importance of recreation for all (residents and visitors) by delivering quality programming in more sports, in more places, to more individuals. COVID-19 has brought all organiza- tions new and unanticipated challenges. At Maine Adaptive, we strive to rise to the occasion and continue to provide our participants with the best possible expe- riences in adaptive sports and recreation. Now more than ever, we need your help to VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES f We are a volunteer delivered program and there are many opportunities to get involved with us. Whether your efforts are behind the scenes, supporting us remotely, or working as an in-person volunteer, you are part of an impactful community. More than 300 dedicated individuals give a combined total of 24,000 hours annually in support our adaptive recreational programs — whether through one-on-one or small group instruction in a sport you love, or by offering your talents and resources to promote the overall program.
