That's why the company continued its regular wellness programs, making fitness classes, meditation sessions and educational seminars available virtually. It also offered health coach- ing by phone, and hosted virtual chal- lenges on their wellness portal. Diversified Group also launched sev- eral new events during the pandemic that foster healthy lifestyles. Company officials say an on-site farmer's market, which offered fresh produce from local farms, was among the most popular programs it rolled out. The farmer's market gave em- ployees an opportunity to shop dur- ing working hours, and encouraged workers to eat fruits and vegetables over the course of a month. Em- ployees meeting the challenge re- quirements were rewarded vouch- ers to spend at the market. "I am thrilled with the fact that our program has continued to carry on throughout the quarantine and the adjustment to everyone working from home," said Daniel Soucier, Diversified Group's chief financial officer. 2 nd PLACE | CATEGORY: 2 TO 99 EMPLOYEES Coaching a key to Burke Aerospace's wellness program Burke Aerospace (Turbine Technologies Inc.) Headquarters: Farmington Industry: Manufacturing Top Executive: CEO Tyler Burke F or Farmington manufacturer Burke Aerospace, strategic leadership and planning are cornerstones to improving profes- sional performance and quality of life. That philosophy is the basis of the Burke Aerospace Wellness Program, which encourages employees to assess their readiness to change, col- laborate on goal-setting and build re- lationships to improve overall health. "If we help our people become the best human beings they can be, our company will reach heights we never could have imagined," CEO and President Tyler Burke said. A triathlon team formed by the company this year is the newest opportunity for workers to dem- onstrate they're willing to expand their mindset beyond what they thought was possible. Employees committed to the team via a mobile fitness app are provided coaching support, equipment and paid travel expenses as they take part in local and national triathlon events.
