The ECHL season is projected to start officially on Dec. 4, with a full 72-game schedule lined up. ECHL Commissioner Ryan Crelin said in a statement while ECHL is eager to get the league up and running again, the deci - sion to postpone the start date is in the best interest of league players, employees and fans. "The ECHL and our Board of Governors are focused on the 2020-21 Season and remain optimistic for the safe reopening of our venues across the conti - nent," Crelin said.
